One Month

I know I'm WAY behind on posting, but here's a little something until I get my act together. Just a little update - Cade is now one month old and growing like crazy. Like his mommy his favorite activity is EATING!

Here's a little video of Baby Cade exercising today. Just like his daddy he is more interested in what is on TV than looking at himself in the mirror or paying attention to me! ;)

I suppose Cade was working out today so he can win his own Super Bowl ring in a few years...thanks Uncle Jared for letting us borrow your ring!

Cade Robert Jackson is FINALLY here!

We arrived at the hospital at 7:30 am to be induced on Tuesday...and FINALLY met the little guy at 12:38 am Wednesday morning! Needless to say it was a long hard day for everyone, but now we are home and doing fantastic! I'm sure everyone is curious to hear how our first night at home went. All 3 of us got multiple hours of sleep so I consider that to be a HUGE success!

We truly want to thank all of our family & friends that came to see us at the hospital whether you were there for the entire 17+ hours or just a few minutes. We appreciate all of your thoughts, prayers, & time. We could not have made it with out you, and will need your continued support in the future!

Now let the fun begin...we are so excited for everyone to come over and play!!!

Waiting...

So much for wishful thinking. Little Cade was due yesterday and we're still waiting on him to arrive. We'll give him the weekend and if he's still not here we're going in after him! Thanks to everyone for all your thoughts, prayers, emails, and phone calls. We really appreciate it, and hope to post pictures of the little guy as soon as he is here.

This could be the last post before little Cade is finally here. I apologize for being a little lazy in updating the blog lately, but to be honest...I've been a little lazy in doing anything these days. Here are a couple of recent pictures.

Showered with Love...

Thanks to everyone that was able to make it to the shower a few weekends ago. We really appreciate everyone taking time out of their busy lives to spend a few hours with us. We have less than 5 weeks left now until we meet little baby Cade.

Weekend chores...

The furniture arrived so we put everyone to work this past weekend. With help from 4 grandparents, 2 great friends, 2 babies, and 5 dogs we were able to get the nursery painted and put the crib together...and have a lot of fun.

On Saturday afternoon the guys painted and rested, and then painted some more.

Later that night we put the crib together...it was definitely a group effort.

With help from Buster, on Sunday Austin & I finished putting together the other 2 pieces of furniture.
